SolidWorks is the latest software that is being used for CAD design. There are various Autocad courses that can help you understand the minute concepts of mechanical designing through various softwares. Learning these softwares can be beneficial in many terms as this gives a more technical edge to your creative skills and helps in professional growth. They both offer different ways of designing workflows, but ultimately, the decision of which program a company should use completely depends on the needs of that company. The two software programs have their advantages and disadvantages. Solidworks is more focused on manufacturing and production, while AutoCAD is more focused on architecture and engineering. And that seems the only thing they wouldnt find a problem improving so ill take what i can.The comparison between AutoCAD and Solidworks is not an apples-to-apples comparison because both software programs are different in many ways. I just want to make it more bareable and not loose my mind nesting 5 hours a day in autocad 😅. Im literally using solidworks as rhinoceros.

Literally their answer when i talked about solidworks capabilities (which they know im pretty prepared because of portfolio, and its the reason they took me) and how i could make a lot of processes automatic and be more efficient they were like: "yeah. They wont let me use costing because we have to upload the data via excel and via AS400 (a 1998 program too buggy for its own good).Īnd the stock information belongs to a whole other department, ( they wont let me use it, because if i did and the higher ups noticed it, they wouldnt need 20+ people talking to distributors all day and telling the prices to us). Problem is this place i work for is big, i mean very big (at least for spanish standards 2500+ employees) and theres a lot of really really old infrastructure. I know that you can get how much stock you are using and the costing.
